The land cover and land use classifications of the MapBiomas collection are based on mosaics generated from Landsat images. For each of the years evaluated, a specific mosaic has been produced. Each mosaic is produced by the spatial integration of the different Landsat scenes present and by the temporal integration pixel by pixel. These temporal intervals were defined according to the strategy to improve the classification results.
The mosaics are generated by 1:250,000 charts, contain up to 34 components per pixel, including 6 spectral in addition to various fraction metrics and spectral indices.
Collection 1 mosaics can be accessed directly in Google Earth Engine through the following link*: Google - Code Earth Engine.
