The land cover and land use classifications of the MapBiomas collection are based on mosaics generated from Landsat images. For each of the years evaluated, a specific mosaic has been produced. Each mosaic is produced by the spatial integration of the different Landsat scenes present and by the temporal integration pixel by pixel. These temporal intervals were defined according to the strategy to improve the classification results.
The mosaics are generated from 1:250,000 maps and contain up to 184 bands per pixel, including various fractional metrics and spectral indices.
The Collection 2.0 mosaics can be accessed directly in Google Earth Engine via the following link: Google – Code Earth Engine
